Who I Am...

This page is dedicated to the Warriors of Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho.

Lewis-Clark State College is located only 30 minutes south of Pullman and Moscow in Lewiston, Idaho. This small NAIA school has been the dominant team in the Frontier Conference and in the Northwest schools on the mens and womens' side.

Cross Country:

The mens side with only 1 senior had a strong season with wins over numerous DI schools and plenty of NAIA schools. Wining 4 out of the 7 meets on their schedule the Warriors had a breakout year being ranked as high as number 9 Nationally. With a solid team performance at their conference meet the Warriors won the Frontier Conference with 15 points going 1-2-3-4-5-7-13 without their number 1 runner. With records being broken through out the year, the team did not have the performance they would have like at the National Meet finishing 22nd. After this years disappointment, the young team at Lewis-Clark are looking for their highest national meet finish in school history next year.

The women side had a great year on the courses across the Northwest competing against and challenging DI schools in most races. With a solid top 3 throughout the year the Warriors placed 5th at the Willamette Invitational against the nations best NAIA schools. Along with the men, the women also dominated the Frontier Conference Meet wining with 33 points. The women being ranked as high as 9th they finished 15th at the National Meet. With a young team the women look to improve their national meet finish in the upcoming years.

Indoor Track & Field:

With funding not being as high as we all would like here at LC there was not much travel opportunities apart from a quick drive to Pullman and Moscow. Resting injured legs and catching up with training there were only a few individuals making trips up north to compete. However, with these few numbers compared to most schools the Warriors had many solid performances throughout the winter months with the mens team sending their DMR team to Nationals, eventually finishing 7th in their heat. Along the way setting a new school record in the DMR, 4X400m, 400m, 5000m. On the womens' side, freshman Chelsea Leighton set the school record in the 400m and a personal best.

Outdoor Track & Field:

The Warriors are eager to lace up their spikes and start competing in order to qualify for Nationals in Indiana. The distance squad is very optimistic about the upcoming spring, feeding off their successful Cross and Indoor season they are ready to take down the school records. With everyone meeting now and doing workouts together, people are becoming more motivated and ready to show everyone what the hard work and training in Lewiston, Idaho has done for them.
